Blake Cooper Productions, Inc. is a fee based after-school drama program, for kids in the East Cobb Community. Started in 2006 with Mt. Bethel Elementary School, BCP produced two muscials for Mt. Bethel. Then expanding in 2007, BCP produced a musical for Timber Ridge Elementary School. BCP is sponsored by the parent funded Foundation at each school. Ten Percent of the participation fee at each school is retained and goes back to the school's Foundation to enhance the educational experience at Mt. Bethel and Timber Ridge Elementary School.
A word from the President and Director of BCP, Inc. Blake Cooper:
"My main goal is to see every child succeed on and off the stage. I like to give them an environment that is challenging but can build the student's confidence by showing them that they can produce musicals above their age level. With hard work and dedication, anything is possible. In my years as the Performing Arts Director for Mt. Bethel Elementary School, I have seen huge changes in the professionalism of the students. They want to do their best, and I like creating the atmosphere for them to do so. My favorite teacher (and a great friend) once told me...if you are doing what is best for kids, then you are doing the right thing. That is where my passion and drive comes from. I want to give kids the opportunity to create the best production that they have ever been in, and be proud of themselves for accomplishing it!!"
