NEWS AND NOTES

Hello all!!  It has been a while since I have updated!!   Everything is going very well.  We have been in choreography rehearsals for a couple of weeks and those are coming to an end.  We have about one or two more and then we are running the show from the beginning.  Please make sure all of their lines are memorized by now.  It will make putting the finishing touches of the show in place a lot easier!!

***REHEARSALS WILL RUN LONGER STARTING ON TUESDAY!!!!!  As written on your schedule rehearsals will run until 4:30 starting Sept. 30th!!!  We need this extra time!!!!  THANK YOU!!!***

Set painting for the show will take place THIS FRIDAY at 9:30am at 1020 Princeton Walk.  Kara Searcy is kind enough to host the set painting party at her house!!  NO CREATIVITY NECESSARY!!!!  You will be painting the risers black...that's all!!!!!!! :)  PLEASE HELP!!!!

Thanks to our wonderful costume committee who have been working very hard to make your children look amazing!!!  These costumes are going to be the BEST EVER!!!!

Early Release Rehearsal Schedule

Don't forget that our next rehearsal is on Tuesday, September 16th.  It is an early release day.  We will have a longer rehearsal that day.  It will be held from 12:30 until 3:30.

Please make sure you pack a bigger afternoon snack for your child because their lunch times will be pretty early that day.  THANKS!!

News and Notes

Wow these kids are amazing!!!!!!!!!!!  Rehearsals have been going very well so far!!  Tomorrow we will start choreography.  Please make sure your children are practicing at home.  Some kids know every word to the songs, and some seem like they don't know ANY of them!!  We want everyone to be GREAT!!

Homework: Work on "The Battle".  Please make sure your children are using their scripts to look at the words when practicing songs at home.

Please make sure we have your paperwork turned in.  It has been due for a while.

A huge thank you to Kara Searcy, Committee Director for sending out the mass e-mail to the cast.  If you didn't receive the e-mail we either have your e-mail address wrong, or we don't have your paperwork.

People interested in being on the Costume Committee have a meeting this Friday morning, September 12th, in the media center at 7:20am.  I can't wait to get the ball rolling on this. 

Mrs. Searcy will be emailing everyone by the end of the week to let you know what committee you will be on.  Thanks in advance for all of your help.

Your kids are so talented and this show is sounding great.  Please make sure your kids wear P.E. shoes tomorrow so we can dance!!

News and Notes

Hello everyone.  I hope you have had a nice and relaxing 3 day weekend.  It was wonderful to see all of you at the parent meeting we had last Thursday.  Now that we are all on the same page...it's time to ROCK-N-Roll!  Rehearsal will resume tomorrow (Tuesday, Sept. 2nd) and it will be from 2:25 until 4pm.  Please make sure you pick your child up IN THE CAR POOL LINE.  Do not come into the school.  It makes it a mess around ASP and it gets confusing for us as well.  Please make sure you are in the carpool line on time.  Any child left after 4:15 will be put into ASP and you will have to come in a pick them up there.  Please remember what I said about hehavior.  Give your child an "extra reminder" before heading off to school tomorrow.  Behavior warnings will begin tomorrow as well.  This is going to be a fantastic show.  It's perfect for these kids!  Please make sure they are practicing at home as well.  And now...ON WITH THE SHOW!!!
